We interconnected our data to other related items, in particular to authorities for names (people, places, subjects) and to other resources, creating semantic associations.
Plucky’s way of linking data in an open way was inspired by the OWL and FOAF ontologies. Specifically, we widely re-used the attributes owl:sameAs and foaf:isPrimaryTopicOf. In this way, we were able to connect our RDF/XML files to other sources and repositories of knowledge such as DBpedia, Wikidata etc.
